Valerie is a member of the Executive Committee of Heidrick & Struggles, and is Managing Partner, Global Strategic Partners Program; focusing on our top 100 clients. In addition, she is a Partner and core member of our CEO and Board, and Financial Services practices. She has worked closely with Boards of Directors and CEO’s on succession planning, business expansion, re-engineering as it pertains to talent acquisition and management and, more recently, acquisitions.

For the last ten years, Valerie’s practice has been focused on the development of senior management teams as a part of large, global, corporate change programs. Her work includes both executive search and consulting on human capital strategy, talent assessment, organizational design and change management.

Prior to Heidrick & Struggles, Valerie was a Partner and Managing Director in a boutique executive search firm where she spent 12 years providing advisory and search services to large and mid-sized firms across financial services, technology, consulting, manufacturing and health care.

Over the course of her career, Valerie has established close relationships with clients and has developed long-term partnerships that transcend pure search, including with several global tier-one financial services and alternative investment firms, and a variety of startup and mid-sized companies.

Prior to Executive Search, Valerie ran the Executive Education and Consulting division at Cambridge Technology Group in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She was a key participant in building the company from a startup into a leading client-server systems integration firm.

Valerie attended Phillips Academy Andover and received a degree in psychology from Wesleyan University.
